Anand joined Absa Bank early in 2004, to start Absa's business offering in the Power and Energy sector. In 2010 Anand was appointed Managing Principal and Co-Head of Investment Banking Coverage. In March 2018 he was appointed Managing Executive, Client Coverage at the Corporate and Investment Bank.

Anand holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering (Cum Laude) and an MBA (with distinction).

Shirley joined Absa Bank Limited in 2011 and is the Coverage Head for Resources and Energy at Absa (Corporate and Investment Banking). Her responsibilities include maintaining and growing relationships in the mining, metals, minerals, oil, gas, chemical, power and renewables industries. Shirley was selected for the 2021 Power List of Pan-African female leaders in energy as one of Africa’s fifty most inspirational female energy executives.

Shirley holds a CAIB (SA) Associate Banking Diploma, a B.Com(Ed)(Cum Laude) and a B.Com Honours degree in Financial and Strategic Management.

Theuns has 25 years of experience across project and export finance, power, infrastructure, metals and mining finance and reserve base lending. He has extensive experience in the power sector, specifically in renewable energy and gas-fired projects having acted as both advisor and debt arranger for projects across Africa. Actively involved in the South African renewable energy market, both on Government-backed programs and the captive power market, leading the bank’s charges to arrange financing for over 4GW of projects. Has closed deals across all major commodities including gold, platinum, coal, chrome, mineral sands, diamonds, copper as well as oil and gas.

Theuns is a qualified Chartered Accountant with a BCom Honours in Accounting.
