Michelle Knowles

Managing Executive: Head of Trade and Working Capital (Pan Africa) Absa Corporate and Investment Banking

Michelle has more than 25 years of experience in International Trade Finance at various Regional Banks. Currently, she is leading the Trade and Working Capital business for Absa Group across geographies. Michelle holds a master's degree in business leadership and serves as the Secretary/Treasurer on the board of the Bankers Association of Finance and Trade. She is a respected leader in the Trade and Working Capital industry. Michelle is also a thought leader and her expertise span across topics such as Trade Finance, Supply Chain Finance, digitisation, and SMEs, playing a role in shaping the trade environment in Africa.

Kuben Pillay

Managing Director – Pan Africa Trade and Working Capital Corporate Sales, Absa Corporate and Investment Banking

Kuben specialises in African Trade providing innovative trade and working capital financing solutions to corporate clients. With a business executive qualification from Harvard Business School in Sales and Distribution, Kuben has more than 16 years’ experience in the financial services sector across Sales, Strategy and Operations.

In his current role, Kuben leads a Pan-African team dedicated to structuring customised working capital solutions for businesses across diverse segments, sectors, and regions where Absa operates. His key strategic focus is to foster collaboration across Pan-African and international corridors, supporting clients' sustainable trade goals.

Mosa Tshabalala

With more than 18 years of management experience in diverse financial institutions, Mosa Tshabalala has substantial experience in the banking sector in Sub-Saharan Africa. Coupled with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the international market dynamics and key players in the FI Trade and Risk Distribution space, Mosa has a proven record of integrity, results, productivity, and quality.

Oladapo Adeigbe

Head – Financial Institutions Trade Sales, Africa

Dapo is a Trade Finance expert with over two decades of experience managing risk and driving business growth through strategic initiatives, innovative solutions and partnership. He is a Director at Absa and Head of Financial Institutions (FI) Trade Finance Sales - Africa with core responsible for strategy and business development of Absa’s FI Cross Border Trade business.

Eric is a Senior International Banker based in Absa’s London office and has been with the bank since 2020. He has worked in the banking industry for more than two decades covering multiple client sectors and geographies.

Eric’s experience spans across leading regional treasury centres of global clients headquartered in the Americas, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Eric also spent nearly also has broad experience across a range of industries, geographies, functions, products, mainly covering UK Corporates.
