Absa acted as sole transaction advisor and bookrunner on East African Breweries PLC(EABL) KES 11bn 5-year medium term note issuance, listed on the NSE. This high-profile transaction, which attracted total bids of nearly KES 38bn representing an overall subscription rate of 345%, is the largest non-infrastructure corporate bond issued in Kenya.
