Infrastructure Programme as a catalyst to Unlocking Local Industrialisation Capacity In 2021 we delved into how Infrastructure investment would be the backbone to economic reconstruction and recovery. This year, we anticipate the budget speech will focus on significantly increasing South Africa’s manufacturing output and subsequently expanding the capacity of local suppliers, our 2022 theme is “Infrastructure Programme as a catalyst to Unlock Local Industrialisation Capacity”. Our National Treasury Director General (DG), Mr. Dondo Mogajane, will deliver a Keynote Address, providing insights on how the 2022 Budget reflects the country’s socio-economic policy priorities, the government’s promotion of aggressive infrastructure spend and more importantly, the key shift towards local capacity building and Industrialisation.
