Absa supports Redefine’s international growth through €106 million sustainability-linked financing transaction

Absa Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) has partnered with Redefine Properties Limited to deliver a €106 million sustainability-linked financing solution supporting EPP's M1 portfolio, a collection of established food-anchored retail centres located across Poland.

The transaction supports Redefine’s strategic objective of optimising its capital structure while strengthening its international real estate platform and creating additional flexibility for future growth opportunities.

As part of the transaction, Absa provided a €53 million loan and acted as Co-lender, Joint Mandated Lead Arranger, Sustainability Coordinator and Hedging Solutions Provider.

The financing incorporates both green loan and sustainability-linked features to support the continued ownership and management of environmentally efficient retail real estate assets.
